The Christmas season won’t be complete without amazing decors and vibrant lights. This is why lots of Michiganders always welcome the season with Christmas light displays that are truly a joy to look at.

If you live in or near Michigan, you surely know by now the places and the dates you can watch magnificent Christmas light displays. If not, refer to this list and use it as your guide.

The Big, Bright Light Show – Rochester, MI

“Illuminating downtown with over 1 million points of light! The show will be aglow nightly, 5 pm to Midnight beginning November 21, 2016”

Every November, the city of Rochester becomes so bright and alive with amazing display of Christmas lights. The The Big, Bright Light Show 2016 officially starts in November 21 and ends January 1, 2017.

Opening Night at Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad  – Flint, MI

“It’s one of Mid Michigan’s favorite holiday traditions. You’ll find costumed villagers, live entertainment, model trains and craft demonstrations, and holiday music and, of course, visits with Santa himself. “

This is one of the most exciting Christmas light displays in Michigan. You can see or even ride a fleet of trains decorated with beautiful lights! According to their website, the Christmas at Crossroads Holiday Magic runs November 25 – 27 and December 2-4, 9-11, 16-18, 20-23 & 27-30 from 4 pm to 9pm.

Holiday Celebration and Candlewalk – Frankenmuth, MI

“The perfect way to start the Christmas season. Hot chocolate and cookies at 6pm. Ceremony starts at 6:30pm. Candlewalk from the Frankenmuth River Place Shops to the Chamber Platz for the lighting of the Tannenbaum. Santa will be in the Chamber Pavilion from 7-9pm.

The event will start on November 25, 2016 at Frankenmuth River Place Shops.

Festival Of Trees – Dearborn, MI

“Dearborn’s Festival of Trees is an annual showcase of Christmas decor and an enduring community tradition that began as a charity event for the Children’s Hospital of Michigan several decades ago.”

The attendees of this event are encouraged to bring their Christmas trees, wreaths, stockings and gingerbread houses to be showcased.  The proceeds of this event will go directly to the Children’s Hospital of Michigan foundation. Festival of Trees will run from November 20 up to November 27, 2016.

Parade Of Lights – Holland, MI

“Santa arrives in Downtown Holland escorted by bands, floats, vehicles, family and friends all decked out in thousands of sparkling holiday lights! Over 80 entries will illuminate the streets of Downtown Holland during this procession. At the end of the Parade, Santa will take the time to greet his fans – young and old alike!”

You’ll see thousands of sparkling magical lights at this parade. This is one of the most beloved tradition all throughout the state of Michigan.

Wayne County Lightfest – Wayne County,MI

“The Wayne County Lighfest is open now through December 31, 2016 for families to enjoy! As the Midwest’s largest and longest drive-through light show, Lightfest features more than 47 giant animated holiday themed displays.”

This Christmas light display is truly one of the best around the state.  A truly must see for Michiganders.

Christmas Lite Show – Comstock Park, MI

This is one amazing drive thru lite show that you and your family will surely enjoy. Christmas Lite Show uses more than 40 animated displays that stretch almost 2 miles.  The Christmas Lite Show is a family tradition for thousands of folks in the Grand Rapids area and beyond. The show will run from November 23 up to January 1, 2017.

    That’s pretty neat. I wonder if someone has complied a list of them in my local area. That first town looks really neat. I would like to go see those.
