Apartment Living Room

Frame your artwork

Framing your artwork and hanging them onto the wall can make an instant impact at your home. It could become the focal point of your interior decoration. If you don’t have any paintings or artwork to hang, you can repurpose an old colorful fabric and frame it neatly to create a unique artwork.

Bring in some plants

There are lots of cute succulents, cacti and fig trees around. You can bring some of them inside your home and make it a part of your interior design. Aside from adding more color and life to your home, these plants can also improve the quality of air and boost up the mood of people living inside the house.

Decorate with books

Don’t let your old books catch dust and dirt inside your cabinet. Show em off in an artistic or decorative form. If you have a book collection, place them neatly in a corner of your living room. Play with it until you are satisfied with its location and looks.

Use a statement piece

It could be an antique coffee table, a tall drawer, a wooden cabinet and so on and so forth. The statement piece must be quite unique and easy to spot on by your visitors. For ideas, you can check out some Pinterest boards.

Change your lighting

Not all lighting fixtures are created equal. Some are best placed in the living room while some work wonders at the bedroom. For a quick and easy home update, you can simply change all of your lighting fixtures.

Play with the curtains

Give your windows a brand new look by hanging lovely curtains. Just make sure that the curtain you’ll use is right and fit for the season. During winter, it’s best to use dark and heavy ones and on summer , use light colored ones.

However, this time I have a box of succulents arriving soon. I’ll try them out and use the ones that work best. I’m sure I can find a way to remember water like I have to remember to write done. Haha
