  1. In my current condo, I actually have a few pocket doors, mostly downstairs (kitchen to living room, for some reason, and also bathroom) – this helps maximize space.

    Great suggestions, I can use a few in my two rooms that are smaller. Busy I say referring to overly decorated items do seem to appear larger and as for the closet doors I have one off and one door on only to keep everything from falling out! The vacuum instead of a broom dust sounds like a winner.

    We have been living in smaller apartments/spaces for years. We like to use lighting and mirrors to make our space feel bigger. Also, we try to rent from apartments on top floors that have lofted ceilings. It makes all the difference!
